Trulist is a high-trust peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling locally in India. We help people discover listings, see real profiles and trust signals (including mutual connections and trust scores), and message each other. Where you meet and how you pay stays between you and the other party unless we expressly offer a payment or logistics feature in writing.

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy policy.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Indian law. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity on your account. One person should not maintain multiple accounts to evade bans, inflate trust, or mislead others. Listing requires identity verification and a profile photo. We may require further checks before you message or unlock certain features.

Profiles, trust scores, badges, and mutual-connection signals are tools to help users assess who they are dealing with. They are not a guarantee of honesty, safety, or transaction success. The score reflects identity today. It does not, by itself, allow you to post. Listing requires identity verification, a profile photo, and a clear safety check. The Trusted Seller badge is earned from a higher score and completed sales. It is not granted by a pledge. You must not manipulate trust signals, fake mutuals, or misrepresent your identity or relationships.

If you share contacts so we can show friends-of-friends signals, you confirm you have the right to share that data for this purpose. We use it discreetly as described in the Privacy policy — we do not publish your address book to other users.

You may list goods you are legally allowed to sell. Listings must be accurate, use photos that match the actual item (no stock or misleading images), and comply with applicable law. You must not list stolen goods, illegal items, weapons or other regulated goods where prohibited, counterfeits presented as genuine, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.

We may remove, edit, demote, or refuse listings that violate these terms or community standards, or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to users or Trulist.

Trulist connects buyers and sellers. Contracts for sale, meetups, inspection, and payment are between users. Trulist Private Limited is not a party to those transactions, does not take title to goods, and does not hold payment on your behalf unless we say otherwise for a specific feature. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or truth of any listing or user, or that a deal will complete.

You are responsible for evaluating the other party, arranging a safe meetup if you choose to meet, and complying with tax and other legal duties that apply to your sale or purchase.

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, scam, or discriminate against others
• Spam, scrape, or disrupt the service or other users
• Post false, misleading, or someone else’s information
• Circumvent identity checks, bans, or safety features
• Use Trulist for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
• Attempt to access non-public systems, data, or another user’s account

We may warn, limit features, suspend, or permanently ban accounts, and may report serious misconduct to authorities.

You keep ownership of content you submit (profile details, listing text, photos, messages). You grant Trulist Private Limited a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote Trulist. You represent that you have the rights to grant this licence. You may delete listings or your account; residual copies may remain in backups for a limited time.

Trulist branding, software, design, and product materials are owned by Trulist Private Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or reuse them for commercial purposes without permission. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.

Trulist is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free access, or that trust scores or mutuals will be complete or accurate in every case.

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Trulist Private Limited and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or goods arising from your use of Trulist or from deals between users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of ₹5,000 (five thousand Indian rupees) or the amount you paid us (if any) in the three months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold Trulist Private Limited harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your listings, transactions, content, misuse of Trulist, or breach of these terms.

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do; material changes may also be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. You may stop using Trulist and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
